You can wander through dunes and woods or sunbathe on the beach or ride your bicycle on the picturesque shell paths from this central place on the island. The nearest shops are in Midsland - only a good mile from the house.
Huis ter Duin is a detached house which lies on top of a dune amid other summer houses on a lot of nearly half an acre. It has a commanding view. The bus stop is practically at the foot of the dune. The vast Terschelling beach of the North Sea is just two hundred meters away. In and around the house you have virtually total privacy. The two terraces with wind screens will always give you shelter so that you can enjoy the sunshine (the Frisian isles have more sunshine than any other part in the Netherlands). Huis ter Duin is fitted with all modern conveniences and is especially suited for children. Two families or a group of friends will find sufficient room and special spots to play party games, to read or to watch television.
